Regular testing processes, emphasis on quality of workmanship, inspection measurements using latest technologies and years of experience are all a guarantee of proven product quality. The store availability of coaxial cables and connectors enables us to flexibly respond to your customised requirements. Using the latest technologies, we can make any RF cable coupler, adjust the cable length for the antenna and install the required connector.

SMA connector inspection

When inspecting antenna connectors, we focus on the thread inspection to see if it fits well into the mating piece. We measure the diameter of the central contact. We check the freedom of movement of the cap nut. The surface treatment of the connector as well as the precision of fixing the cable to the connector.

Antenna base inspection

While inspecting the base, we check the thread as well, to see if it fits well into the mating piece, its dimensions and location in the base. Furthermore, we check the dimensions of the entire base, whether they correspond to the drawing documentation. We check for any surface defects and the location of stickers. For magnetic bases, we test the strength of attachment to a sheet metal plate. We check the mechanical strength of the connections between the base and the cable, and the base and thread of the antenna rod.

Cable inspections

During the cable inspection, we pay attention to the use of the correct type of cable and its marking on the surface, including the marking of the function (GPS, GSM, etc.). We measure the diameter and length of the cable and compare them to the drawing documentation. We visually inspect the integrity of the cable surface.

Antenna rod inspection

With the antenna rod, we start again with the inspection of the thread and its connection quality with the counterpart. We check the dimensions of the rod and the mechanical strength of the joints of all parts of the member. We measure the reflection properties of the rod, such as the standing wave ratio VSWR and the reflection factor S11, as well as transmission properties such as attenuation and gain.

Custom production

According to the customer's parameters, we are ready to produce or modify the lengths of antenna cables or their connectors. If necessary, we can mark the cables with colored label with any description or mark the antennas with a sticker with the type and parameters of the antenna.

Connectors

Coaxial connectors have to be of precise dimensions and have a quality surface finish to ensure repeated connections and disconnections. They have to provide an absolute conducive electrical contact. The contacts should be abrasion-resistant and maintain their electrical properties even after repeated connections and disconnections. This is achieved by careful selection of the materials and geometries of the contact elements.

The connector body, a mechanical part assembled of plastic and metal die castings, provides the mechanical connection and insulating properties. The basic and most commonly used shape of contact elements is a circular pin and socket. This is also the origin of the distinction between male and female connectors.
